The first round of tenants at The Bowl will open this spring. The restaurant’s name was inspired by the street food vendors that co-founders Kaleb Harrell, Allen Lo, Wayne Yung and Kin Ho encountered during their travels across Southeast Asia. Famous for hollering at passers-by to hawk their small plates, these street vendors are revered for their generations-old recipes using local ingredients.

I would 100% recommend it and will 100% come back. I'm new to the area, and first time visiting this restaurant. There was a wait, but we'll worth it.My friend and I had Pad Thai, Spring Rolls, Shrimp Rolls, white wine, and 5-spice Old Fashioned. Both of us agreed, the best Pad Thai ever!!! The Shrimp Rolls were very good, the Spring Rolls- good. Hawkers Asian Street Food will join 11 other previously announced businesses, including Olde Mecklenburg Brewery, at the new mixed-use retail, dining and entertainment district in South Charlotte.

Atlanta’s Restaurant Closings, April Edition

An Atlanta location opened in 2019 along the Eastside Beltline trail near Nina and Rafi, but closed temporarily two years later after a grease fire broke out in the kitchen. The restaurant has been undergoing a slow-progressing renovation since then and is expected to reopen by the end of 2023. From Torrence in the front to our waitress Shelby. They were very attentive and the food was delicious.
